Compressed air foam systems made simple? At last, the "Equalizer"® answers this question with a resounding "Yes"! The "Equalizer"® foam generating device is different than the rest. It uses the principles of physics to balance air and water pressures internally, a design so unique, it's patented.*
Compressed air and Solution Water are introduced into the same chamber at the same time in such a way that a violent turbulence occurs creating Compressed Air Foam with greater consistency, better adhesion, insulative quality, and heat removal than other systems.
It requires no balancing valves, matching of pressures, tweaking, or guesswork to make foam. Just start the engine and superior compressed air foam is available immediately.
Unlike other systems, the "Equalizer"® does not limit water pressure, or require a minimum length of hose to make foam. It makes superior foam with a smaller, more uniform bubble structure than other systems allowing for greater trajectory, and better overall extinguishment characteristics.
Constructed of stainless steel, with no moving parts to wear out, the "Equalizer"® is constructed to provide many years of trouble free service.
The photos at the right show the three base models that we use in our Compressed Air Foam Systems.
The NA40, is a fixed flow, 1" Discharge model that can be mounted on most 1" hose reels. It delivers CAFS through a 3/4" smoothbore nozzle. It gives excellent trajectory. It is ideally suited for wildland applications.
The NA60 is a fixed flow, 1 1/2" Discharge model. It delivers CAF through a 1 1/8" smoothbore nozzle, and ideally suited for wildland and / or structure applications.
The "Equalizer"® PRO™ is the ultimate in fire fighting flexibility. It offers a full range of dry to wet foam adjustments without increasing the concentration of Class A foam. It can be controlled manually with the rotary dial, (shown bottom left) or can be electronically controlled if desired. It can even be plumbed in such a way to allow selections of compressed air foam, solution water, a combination of both, or full flow of water through the same discharge. This range of flexibility makes the "Equalizer"® PRO™ a logical yet economical choice for structure fire applications.
Thanks to the "Equalizer"®, Compressed Air Foam Systems have never been easier to operate, more reliable, or less intimidating. Contact us today! We will be happy to design a CAFS unit to fit the needs and budget of your fire department.
